Just call me . . . Aunt MOM
On the morning of April 24th Amber and Cortney left for New York City and left there three kids: Kaydra 5, Brooklyn 3, and little hellion Drake 1, in my faithful hands. So the following is the six days I spent playing mom.

DAY 1:
Today we lounged around in our jammies all day (don't tell the real mom)! We played games outside, watched movies, and I did the girl's nails. Then grandma came over to have a slumber party. We ate pizza and played games aka twister, and watched the Tale of Despereaux. If only this is how everyday went.

This is Kaydra being "Miss Honey", the nice teacher from Matilda

I think Grandma almost had a heart attack and I had to use a crane to get her off the ground. HAHA

Day 2:
Today I was literally a soccer mom. Kaydra had soccer pictures and a game. I got all the kids and me ready, packed lunches, and loaded in the car on time! GO ME! Little did I realize how cold it was outside, and it wasn't until we were at the fields that I did. Oops. After Kaydra's pictures we had a little time before her game so I planned a picnic, but because of the fridgid weather we had it in the van.

After Kaydra rocked at her big game we came home relaxed and got warm. Later that night I gave them all baths, gave pedicures, ad curled the girls hair for church the next day.

Day 3:
Today was Sunday, so we went to church and I got to be kidless for 2 hours while the girls went to primary and I dropped Drake off in nursery. We got home and had lunch and then I made a hop scotch thingy on the floor using masking tape. It was tons of fun!. . . .(even for me)

Tonight Jeremy, Lizzy, Camilla, and the Missionaries came over for dinner. Then we played soccer outside and Phase 10 twist. The kids were such angels today!

Day 4:
Today we had a busy day but it was great! This morning I packed up Kaydra's lunch and put a little note in it for her then took her to school for "Marvelous Monday" and then I took Brooklyn to dance.

Aren't they cute!!

After dance we went over to a friends for Brooklyn to play with were they pretended to be princesses and I think put on every piece of jewelry in the house. Drake became best friends with their dog and played outside with her the whole time. After Kaydra got out of school she had to get ready for dance class and then soccer practice. What a busy girl! For dinner I made Kaydra's favorite, stroganoff, then gave them baths. However I did make the mistake of leaving Drake and Brooklyn alone in the bathroom and returned to find that they extended their bath to the bathroom floor and were splashing away. What a day!

Day 5:
Today was a fun day! After dropping both girls off a school in the morning Drake and I had 2 hours of free time so we went to breakfast and shopping and played at the play area in the mall. Drake was so bummed when we had to leave.

Drake loved the little short bus. . .Go figure :)

After the girls got done with school we wnt over to Logan and Kamryn's house. They are kids my friend Camilla nannys. There they played and we had a picnic outside in the beautiful sun!

So plan for the rest of the day was to just relax but no such luck. That morning shopping with Drake I bought the girls some purses to decorate so we had craft time until Drake woke up from his nap.

Then we had to run to the store and as we were leaving Kaydra insisted on running next to the van instead of riding. We were close to grandmas house so I let her run there instead. Since it was so nice out we stayed outside for a while longer rolled down the hills and played follow the leader.

When we got home we had some yummy roast and then finally settled into bed!
. . . only one day left (I might kinda miss this)

Day 6:
Today was our last day together and it wore me out! We left this morning at 8:20, took Kaydra to school, then went to the studio so I could sub one of Ambers dance classes. Then we had to go straight to take Brooklyn to gymnastics, while she was there I went and picked Kaydra up from school and took her to gymnastics and picked up Brooklyn. By this time it was noon so we had to get Drake some food or it would not be good. Then we picked Kaydra up from gymnastics. Whew we were done running around! Now 1 o'clock we meet up with Logan and Kamryn again at bittersweet park. We...

fed the ducks,

chased bubbles,

ate snacks,

and played on the playground.

We had loads of fun with our new friends!
We finally came home around 3:30 and the rest of the night I actually did get them to watch a show and relax, we took baths, and then off to bed.
It has been a great six days. . . now I'm ready for some sleep! :)
